Title: Moment of Contact
Medium: Acrylic on Skateboard
Born 1980 in Brooklyn. Raised in Brooklyn, Queens and Commack, Long Island. I lived most of my adult life in Brooklyn but in 2021 relocated to Greenville, SC. I keep studio spaces in NY and GVL.
I am a multidisciplinary artist, creating large scale murals, public arts installations, contemporary fine arts, and high end pumpkin carvings and other ephemeral arts. Mediums include oils, acrylics, watercolor, graphite, charcoal, and pumpkin.
My artwork often mixes figurative and nature based elements with more abstract forms and pareidolia juxtaposed with spiritual themes and iconography. My work is rooted in and inspired by deep explorations of consciousness, meditation, and the world around me.
I graduated from Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Illustration and later continued my training with many years of self exploration as well as studying with Visionary artists such as Alex Grey, Allyson Grey, & Amanda Sage.
My art has has been exhibited in the Society of Illustrators American Museum of Illustration, WWE Hall of Fame, and private collections. I have created murals across NYC, Greenville, & Miami; painted pianos installations at Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Lincoln Center, & Bridgeway Station; created illustrations for Beyoncé, Slash, Old Dominion, Mercedes, Bravo, & USA Baseball. I also have the honor of being a host and conductor on the Vision Train, an online global visionary arts collective founded in March 2020.
As Cofounder of Maniac Pumpkin Carvers, I have appeared on Shark Tank, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and in countless other appearances, media, and events. Our Pumpkins have been featured in advertising and promotions for companies like Marvel, Disney, BMW, and more and displayed at the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney, Luna Park, and many other private and public spaces across the US.
