Jonah Miller was born August 11, 1988, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He currently resides in Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.
From Jonah:
“I primarily work with airbrush and spray paint. Living on Martha's Vineyard, the home of JAWS, I paint lots of sharks, especially as this summer marks the 50th anniversary of the film's release. I also paint murals whose themes are often based on their location; for example, on a trip to Spain this winter, I did a number of pieces with Spanish themes like Flamenco dancing, stylized lizards, and Spanish city scenery.
I graduated from Harvard in 2010 with a degree in Visual and Environmental Studies, but I consider myself to be a lifelong drawing enthusiast and art learner and practitioner. I've learned more from other artists and designers than in any classroom.
I've painted over 50 murals around the globe. My airbrush business, Island Spray MV, has been featured on the Bravo TV show 'Summer House MV,' and on Boston's WCVB Channel 5 show 'Chronicle.' I designed the first pro model skateboard for Tiago Lemos on Boulevard Skateboards, as well as over a hundred other board graphics for a variety of companies including Zoo York, 5Boro, RAW, Western Edition, Real, and others. I've held in-house graphic design roles at Nike and Reebok, and I've done freelance work for many brands in the world of sports and skateboarding.”
