Ernie Parada
Title: Doug
Medium: Acrylic on Skateboard
Born and raised in New York City, Ernie began his creative
journey in the 1980s as a teenager painting custom denim jackets,
inspired by graffiti legend, Caine 1.
Immersed in the energy of the streets, his artistic path expanded into music,
where he formed influential punk and hardcore bands including Token Entry,
Black Train Jack, In Your Face, and Grey Area.
After decades of making noise, he found his way back to visual art about five
years ago, reconnecting with the raw, expressive power of painting.
His work is deeply rooted in the grit, grind, and pulse of New York—its chaos, resilience, and beauty. Every piece reflects the rhythm of the city and the spirit of a life lived honest and unapologetically authentic.
Whether through brushstrokes or guitar riffs, his work continues
to speak the language of the streets that raised him.
