As boards made their way through the Phoenix line, the polisher, Mark Laieta, had the final responsibility to shine the gloss coat all the while keeping a sharp, tucked edge on the tail and not burning through the fiberglass. The Beck’s boards were particularly challenging with a full polish and glassed-on fins.
